About Bruce

The King of Pot

Bruce Perlowin moved 500,000 pounds of pot under the Golden Gate Bridge, the largest maritime smuggling operation on the West Coast. He kept books on every pound. He reported every dollar. And when it all came apart, he did his time, walked out, and built the first publicly traded cannabis company in America.

The DEA called it the biggest smuggling fleet on the West Coast. Bruce called it a navy. Now, four decades later, the pirate king tells his own story: episode by episode, document by document.
